At The Nesting Box we designs and manufacturers a line of bird houses and feeders called the "Darnell River Collection." The collection currently consists of more than 40 houses. Each house is unique in nature and built for specific birds. We also carry stands, poles, bird seed and other related items.
All our bird houses are constructed in Western Red Cedar. This wood is gathering attention as the "worry free" material. Long known throughout it's range as virtually pest free and extremely durable material, because it contains a naturally occurring substance called tanin. This natural preservative gives the wood it's characteristic spicy smell and protects against insects and decay and does not require paint or stain and does not harm the birds.
